Artemis Grympla was born in Athens. She studied acting at the Greek Art Theatre - Karolos Koun Drama School and stage directing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She’s a member of the Creator’s Programme of the Young Vic Theatre in London and has a Masters Degree in Dramaturgy from Birkbeck University of London. She has attended workshops on acting and directing in Poland ( Grotowksi Institute). Spain ( The Actors Space, Lecoq based technique) and Greece ( Andreas Manolikakis and Eleni Skoti) .She works as a director, actor , dramaturge and scriptwriter in Greece, UK and Turkey. Her area of focus is presenting to the audience new dramaturgy and exploring new forms of narration. As a director and a dramaturg she worked for the Athens Festival, the National Opera of Greece, Alfa Theatre, Theatre Act, Olvio Theatre Then Karezi Theatre and the Cockpit theatre in London. She has written scripts for short films and TV Series, and has been the dramaturge for several full length documentaries.
