King Matt the First
King Mat the First was a performance for young audiences, based on the adaptation of Alki Zei, of the homonymous novel by Janus Korjack, directed and re-adapted by Artemis Grympla.
After the death of his father, young Matt is left with the task of ruling a country. Determined, he navigates around his doubting grown-up advisers to implement his reforms. Schools outfitted with carousels! Building a zoo that is the envy of the world! Soon he realises that the only way to really change the world is to establish a constitution where only children are allowed to make decisions. Things start to go wrong when the children start repeating the same mistakes as the adults.
